Having retired from the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4), Carlos Swinger was decorated with numerous awards to include Legion of Merit Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters; Desert Storm Gulf War Medal with two bronze service stars, Iraq War Medal with two bronze service stars, and the Airborne Paratrooper Wings.
